Hello! I'm Sandy Sawyer and I teach reading and math at Hilltop Elementary School. I am a Bama grad with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. I have a Math Endorsement certification, Teacher Coaching Endorsement certification, completion of the Houston County Teacher Leader Academy, and am currently working toward completion of the Reading Endorsement. In addition, I was Teacher of the Year at Hilltop for the 2019-2020 school year.
I have a wonderful husband who retired from the military in 2014 but continued working at Robins AFB. We have two boys, Landon and Avery. Landon just graduated from GA Southern, and Avery will graduate from GA Tech in May.
In my spare time (LOL) I love to paint, draw, and garden. There's nothing more relaxing that getting your hands a little dirty. I also love spending time with my boys when they are home and making memories.
